My Process

Each piece begins with careful study — understanding the play of light and shadow, the subtle textures of skin, the way emotions manifest in the smallest details. Working primarily with graphite pencils on high-quality drawing paper, building layers upon layers of delicate strokes until the image emerges with photographic clarity. A single portrait can take anywhere from 40 to 200 hours to complete.
